Hello and thanks for checking me out, here's a little about me. I'm currently serving in a senior role for the District of Columbia government and my industry experience stems back to 2003 across various industries (private, public and non-profit). My prior roles include licensed Wall Street Financial Broker for FBR Capital Markets, Finance Analysis Manager for National Children's Center, Inc., Senior Grants Financial Analyst with the National Wildlife Federation, Senior Financial Analyst for United States Postal Service and Senior Budget Analyst for the Office of the Inspector General of USPS and Senior Financial Advisor for Small Business Administration (SBA).

After graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, I eventually set forth to do something different than traditional wealth management and started XNE Financial Advising, LLC (a private and certified minority-owned (MBE) company) in 2011. I believe in transparency and that financial experts should be honest and dedicated ONLY to the success of their clients. Under my leadership, the company has assisted close to 900 individuals and small businesses (at least one in each of the 50 states), processed more than $120 million in taxable incomes and created savings and budgetary plans 200+ families.

My prior experience includes the holding of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Securities Licenses 7 and 63, Certificate in Federal Appropriations and Formulation Justification, and Execution as well as currently serving as an IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP), Certified Microsoft Office User Specialist, Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (Pro/Premier Versions).

In 2019, I really became irritated with the misinformed information being spread across various social media channels when it came to budgeting, debt/credit and taxes so I did what any other professional in their craft would do...WRITE A BOOK! After months of writing about taxes, debt/credits and budgets, I finally turned in my completed manuscript to the publisher and now my first book, BIY: Budget It Yourself is well on its way to production. With this book, I'm hopeful individuals will be able to learn successful ways to build generational wealth.
